Job summary

Home Matters Caregiving is seeking dependable caregivers to provide in-home care and companionship in the Greater Cleveland area. The role emphasizes a caregiver-first philosophy and building meaningful relationships with clients.

You will assist with daily living activities, light housekeeping, meal preparation, personal hygiene, and ensuring client safety in their homes. Compensation ranges from $14 to $18 per hour and varies with experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of professional caregiving experience with the senior population
• Reliable transportation
• Valid driver’s license
• Personal vehicle with proof of auto insurance

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed
• Provide mobility and transfer support
• Offer companionship and emotional support
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment

Caregivers are responsible for providing quality in-home care and companionship to our clients, including assistance with light housekeeping, meal preparation, personal hygiene, and daily living activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be 21 years of age (some exceptions may apply)
• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Minimum of 1 year of professional caregiving experience with the senior population

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed
• Provide mobility and transfer support
• Offer companionship and emotional support
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment
• Follow care plans and promptly report any changes in condition to the appropriate team members

REQUIREMENTS

• At least 1 year of formal caregiving experience in senior care
• Reliable transportation
• Familiarity with basic first aid procedures
• Valid driver’s license
• Personal vehicle with proof of auto insurance

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. using safe, ergonomic techniques
• Able to stand, walk, reach, crouch, use hands and fingers
• Able to communicate clearly and effectively
• Physically and mentally able to drive a vehicle

COMPENSATION

Job Type: Full-time / Part-time
Pay: $14–$18 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
