Job summary

Assisting Hands Central New Jersey is seeking an Experienced Caregiver to provide compassionate in-home support for elderly and disabled clients. You will work as part of a dedicated team to maintain clients’ dignity and independence in their own homes, with on-site shifts and flexible scheduling.

The role emphasizes personal care, meal preparation, medication reminders, and collaboration with care professionals to deliver personalized plans while upholding safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a caregiver or in a similar role.
• Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
• NJ Home Health Aide (HHA) certification required or in good standing.
• Ability to work well with clients and teammates.
• Demonstrates patience, compassion and reliability.

Role Overview:

As an Experienced Caregiver at Assisting Hands Central New Jersey, you will be responsible for providing compassionate in-home care to clients in need. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with a dedicated team to ensure that clients maintain their dignity and independence in a familiar environment. Whether you work on-site, you’ll have the flexibility to create a schedule that aligns with your life commitments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide personal care and assistance to clients, ensuring their comfort and safety.
2. Assist clients with daily activities, including meal preparation, medication reminders, and light housekeeping.
3. Monitor and report any changes in clients’ health or behavior to the care team.
4. Build trusting relationships with clients, maintaining their dignity and respecting their preferences.
5. Collaborate with healthcare providers as needed to ensure optimal care for clients. Take ownership of personalized care plans to enhance their quality of life.

Qualifications:

Employment Type & Availability:

This is a Part-Time position daytime hours on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Set hours 7:30am-12:30pm on Thursday and Friday.

Location:

This position is on-site only in North Brunswick Township, New Jersey.
