Job summary

Assisting Hands Home Care Central New Jersey is seeking a Part-Time Evening Caregiver to provide compassionate in-home support in Matawan, NJ. On-site role with weekday evenings 5PM–9PM and weekend coverage as needed.

You will work with a caregiving team to ensure client safety, comfort, and daily living activities. Responsibilities include personal care, companionship, medication administration, health records, and reporting changes to nurses.

Role Overview:

As a Part Time Evening Caregiver at Assisting Hands Home Care of Edison, you will be responsible for providing compassionate in-home care to our clients during various shifts. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with our caregiving team to ensure the comfort, safety, and well-being of our clients. Working on-site, you'll have the opportunity to create meaningful connections while supporting individuals in their daily activities and routines.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist clients with personal care tasks, including dressing, bathing, and grooming.
2. Provide companionship and engage clients in conversation and activities.
3. Administer medication as prescribed and help manage clients’ health records.
4. Ensure a safe and clean living environment for the clients.
5. Collaborate with nursing and caregiving teams to report changes in client conditions and meet their needs effectively.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

1. Compassionate and patient demeanor when interacting with clients.
2. Strong communication skills in English.
3. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment.
4. Prior experience in caregiving or a related field is advantageous.
5. Flexible availability to accommodate client needs during evening hours.
6. Certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) is required.

Bonus If You:

1. Have relevant certifications, such as CNA or HHA.
2. Speak additional languages to support our diverse client base.

Employment Type & Availability:

This is a Part-Time position with availability on weekdays 5PM - 9PM and weekends as needed.
