Job summary

Methodist Medical Group in Richardson, TX is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join the Cardiology team on a full-time basis. The PA will provide comprehensive cardiovascular care, collaborate with a team of providers, and support hospital rounding and transitions of care.

Requirements include Texas licensure and DEA, NCCPA certification, and at least two years of cardiology experience; Vietnamese language skills are a plus. MMG offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Certified by NCCPA as a Physician Assistant.
Unrestricted Texas Medical License and DEA.
At least two years of Cardiology experience.
Fluent in Vietnamese is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients with cardiovascular conditions.
Conduct physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and formulate treatment plans with supervising physicians.
Manage acute and chronic cardiac conditions including hypertension, arrhythmias, heart failure, CAD, and post-procedural care.
Assist with hospital rounding and transitions of care; prescribe medications per scope of practice.
Educate patients and families on disease management and prevention.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC.

The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background in Cardiology and commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Job Responsibilities:

Educate patients and families on disease management, treatment options, lifestyle modifications, and preventive care
Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC

Qualifications:

Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC
Graduate of an accredited school Physician Assistant
Recognition as an Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
Unrestricted Texas Medical License and DEA
At least two (2) years of Cardiology experience, required
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication, teamwork and patient education skills
