Job summary

Methodist Medical Group in Richardson, TX seeks a full-time Physician Assistant with cardiology expertise to join our Cardio team. Work closely with providers to assess, diagnose, and manage cardiovascular conditions, with emphasis on patient education and care coordination.

Qualified candidates hold an accredited PA degree, NCCPA certification, and Texas license with DEA; experience in cardiology preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Recognition as a Physician Assistant by NCCPA.
• Unrestricted Texas Medical License and DEA.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and management of cardiovascular patients.
• Order and interpret tests and formulate treatment plans with supervising physicians.
• Manage acute and chronic cardiac conditions including hypertension and heart failure.
• Assist with hospital rounding and transitions of care as needed.
• Prescribe medications and therapies within scope of practice.
• Educate patients and families on disease management and preventive care.
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC.
