Connected Cardiovascular Care Associates in North Texas is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our cardiovascular practice. The role includes rooming patients, taking vitals, collecting histories, assisting with procedures, and managing patient communications.

The successful candidate will have a Medical Assistant diploma, experience in a physician office (cardiology/vascular/primary care preferred), and proficiency in MS Office with EMR experience (E-Clinical Works preferred).

Qualifications

  • Experience in a physician office, preferably cardiology/vascular/primary care.

Responsibilities

  • Rooming patients, taking vitals, collecting histories, and performing medication reconciliation.
  • Assisting with examinations and treatments under provider direction.
  • Updating and filing medical records and communicating instructions to patients.
  • Completing orders for imaging and labs as instructed by the provider.
  • Handling prior authorizations and patient callbacks related to testing results.

Join One of North Texas' Premier Cardiology Practices

Connected Cardiovascular Care Associates is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our growing cardiovascular practice. Our physicians specialize in interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, structural heart, vascular care, heart failure, and preventive cardiology, providing exceptional care to patients across North Texas.

This position handles a variety of patient care activities including, but not limited to, accompanying patients to exam rooms, taking vitals, collecting patient history, assisting with procedures, prescription refills, prior authorizations, and patient callbacks regarding cardiovascular testing results, labs, etc.

What You’ll Do
  • Rooming patients, taking vitals, collecting patient histories, and completing medication reconciliation
  • Assisting in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of the providers
  • Updating and filing patients’ medical records
  • Relaying instructions to patients/families
  • Cleaning exam/procedure rooms, instruments, and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control
  • Restocking exam/procedure rooms
  • Prescription refills
  • Process prior authorizations and communicate approvals or denials to the patient or provider
  • Complete orders for imaging and labs as instructed by the provider
  • Patient call-backs as instructed by the provider regarding cardiovascular testing including stress tests, echocardiograms, and heart monitors
  • Other administrative duties as assigned as needed
What We’re Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalency required
  • A Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program required
  • Experience working in a physician office is required; preferably experience in Cardiology, Vascular Surgery, and/or Primary Care
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • EMR experience also required; E-Clinical Works preferred
  • NCT preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Social perceptiveness and service-oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
Schedule
  • Monday through Thursday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
  • No evenings, weekends, holidays, or on-call responsibilities.
  • Occasional travel between our Dallas and Heath locations may be required.
