Job summary

Great Lakes Auto Group is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Facilities Repairman to keep our dealership facilities running smoothly and looking their best.

You will perform routine maintenance and repairs across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems, install lighting, move furniture, and coordinate with contractors. This role requires travel between sites and after-hours on-call availability to respond to emergencies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in general maintenance, facilities repair, or related trades.
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and follow technical manuals and schematics.
• Willingness to travel between sites and respond to off-hour service calls as needed.
• Comfortable using basic computer and mobile applications.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work indoors/outdoors as needed.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to follow direction.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Regular and predictable attendance is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and replace lighting fixtures, switches and outlets
• Assist with basic carpentry, drywall repair, and painting (interior/exterior)
• Assemble, move, and install furniture and fixtures
• Mount and secure TV's, signage, shelving, and wall fixtures safely and accurately
• Maintain, clean, and organize work areas, storage rooms and tools
• Support renovation or remodeling projects as needed
• Operate power tools, hand tools, ladders, lifts and other maintenance equipment safely
• Coordinate and oversee outside contractors or service vendors when required
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls after hours or on weekends when on-call
• Travel between multiple sites or locations, as needed
