Job summary

Electric Hospitality in Atlanta is seeking a front-of-house team member responsible for direct guest contact, greeting guests, answering the phone, taking accurate orders, and delivering prepared orders with a friendly attitude.

You will describe menu items, inform guests about ingredients and allergens, handle beverages, assist with food prep, operate cash registers, and maintain sanitation and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Describe menu items to customers or suggest drinks that may appeal to their taste.
• Provide customers with information such as coffee blend, preparation techniques, ingredients used, allergen information, etc.
• Assist with preparing and serving food items as needed.
• Prepare and serve beverages ranging from simple drinks to elaborate specialty drinks.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment according to health and sanitation standards.
• Check temperatures of freezers, refrigerators, and heating equipment to ensure proper functionality.
• Uphold company safety and sanitation requirements to ensure health and safety of guests and team.
• Stock stations with paper products or beverage preparation items as necessary.
• Operate cash registers and credit card machines.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position has the greatest perceived responsibility - direct guest contact. They spend more time interacting with guests than any other position. Greeting guests when they arrive, answering the phone, taking accurate orders, and delivering completed orders to the guest reflect the restaurant's image, all with a great attitude and a smile!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Describe menu items to customers or suggest drinks that may appeal to their taste
• Provide customers with information such as coffee blend, preparation techniques, ingredients used, allergen information, etc.
• Assist with preparing and serving food items as needed
• Prepare and serve beverages ranging from simple drinks (e.g. coffee and tea) to elaborate specialty drinks
• Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment according to health and sanitation standards
• Check temperatures of freezers, refrigerators, and heating equipment to ensure proper functionality
• Uphold company safety and sanitation requirements to ensure the health and safety of our guests and team
• Stock stations with proper paper products or beverage preparation items as necessary
• Operate cash registers and credit card machines

• Ability to stand/walk for 8-10 hours per day.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
• Will frequently stand, walk, reach, feel, bend, stoop, carry, finely manipulate, and key in data.
• Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors and outdoors.
• Must be able to tolerate higher levels of noise from music and customer traffic.
• Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, and soy.
• Report to work in a complete required uniform.
• Maintain a well-manicured appearance and persona that reflect the restaurant's image.
• Meet personal schedule requirements punctually.
• Be courteous, friendly, and pleasant.
