Job description

WE'RE HIRING AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIANS
Ready to Work Somewhere That Actually Wants You to Win?

At Panhandle Diesel and Automotive, we’re building more than a repair shop.

We’re building a high-performance team.

We believe great technicians should have the opportunity to do great work, earn well, keep developing their skills, and be part of a company that is constantly improving.

We are not trying to be average.

We are raising our standards, improving our systems, investing in our people, and building a shop that talented technicians are proud to be part of.

If you take your career seriously, we want to talk to you.

What’s In It for You?
  • Strong earning potential
  • Consistent workflow
  • Monday-Friday schedule
  • Modern equipment and diagnostic capability
  • Ongoing training and development
  • Clear expectations and performance goals
  • A professional, organized work environment
  • A leadership team committed to improving the shop
  • Opportunities to grow your skills and your career
  • A team that values performance, accountability, and quality
  • The ability to focus on doing great work without unnecessary chaos

We want our technicians to have the opportunity to produce at a high level.

If you bring the skill, effort, attitude, and accountability, we want to create an environment where that pays off.

We’re Building Something Bigger

Panhandle Diesel & Automotive is growing and evolving.

We are actively investing in better leadership, better training, better workflow, stronger processes, and a stronger team.

Our goal is to build one of the best independent automotive repair shops in the region.

That means we continuously look for ways to improve.

We challenge old habits.

We measure performance.

We coach our team.

We invest in development.

And we expect everyone - including ownership and management - to keep getting better.

What You’ll Do

As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, drivability, and vehicle-system concerns
  • Performing maintenance and repairs to a high professional standard
  • Completing thorough vehicle inspections
  • Clearly documenting your findings and recommendations
  • Using professional diagnostic methods instead of guessing
  • Communicating quickly when additional concerns or delays are discovered
  • Performing quality-control checks on completed work
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area
  • Working efficiently while maintaining quality
  • Supporting your teammates when needed
  • Continuing to improve your technical knowledge and abilities

We want technicians who can think, diagnose, communicate, and execute.

Not just replace parts.

What We Expect

We believe people perform better when expectations are clear.

Our technicians are expected to:

  • Show up prepared and ready to work
  • Take pride in their workmanship
  • Work with purpose and urgency
  • Follow proven processes
  • Communicate clearly
  • Ask for help when needed
  • Take ownership of mistakes
  • Accept coaching and feedback
  • Help the team succeed
  • Continue developing their skills
  • Care about productivity
  • Care about quality
  • Care about the guest experience

We don’t expect perfection.

We do expect accountability.

Our Culture

Our standard is:

CARE BEYOND REPAIR

That means we care about more than fixing the vehicle.

We care about our guests.

We care about our teammates.

We care about the quality of our work.

We care about our reputation.

And we care about building a company where good people can build a great career.

We want energy in the building.

We want people communicating.

We want people helping each other.

We want wins celebrated.

We want problems addressed instead of ignored.

And we want people who are excited about becoming better at what they do.

Who We’re Looking For

We want to meet technicians who:

  • Have professional automotive repair experience
  • Have strong mechanical and diagnostic ability
  • Are comfortable working on modern vehicles
  • Have strong problem-solving skills
  • Communicate well with others
  • Take pride in doing things correctly
  • Are dependable and accountable
  • Are coachable
  • Want to improve
  • Have a valid driver’s license
  • Want more from their career than simply punching a clock

ASE certifications are valuable, but they are not the only thing we look at.

Ability matters.

Attitude matters.

Character matters.

Accountability matters.

And your willingness to grow matters.

This Probably Isn’t the Right Shop for You If…

You don’t want your performance measured.

You believe showing up late is no big deal.

You avoid difficult work.

You blame other people when things go wrong.

You don’t like feedback.

You refuse to follow processes.

You’re comfortable staying at the same skill level year after year.

Or you’re simply looking for somewhere to collect a paycheck.

There are plenty of shops that operate that way.

We’re not trying to be one of them.

But If You Want More…

If you want to become a stronger technician…

Produce at a higher level…

Earn based on the value you bring…

Work with a team that takes the industry seriously…

Continue learning…

Take pride in where you work…

And help build something that’s getting better every year…

We want to meet you.
