Job description

Mountain Family Automotive | Evergreen, Colorado

Full-Time

Mountain Family Automotive is looking for an experienced Automotive Technician who takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a shop where quality, integrity, and people actually matter.

We’re an independent, growing repair shop in Evergreen, Colorado, working on all makes and models. From everyday maintenance and brakes to diagnostics, electrical, suspension, drivability, A/C, alignments, and larger repairs, our technicians get the opportunity to solve real problems and work on a wide variety of vehicles.

More importantly, we’re building the kind of shop that good technicians actually want to work at.

What We’re Looking For

We want an experienced technician who knows their way around a vehicle, can diagnose and repair problems correctly, and takes ownership of the quality of their work.

You don't need to know everything. You do need to be experienced, dependable, willing to learn, and committed to doing things the right way.

The right person will:

  • Have professional automotive repair experience
  • Be comfortable working on a variety of makes and models
  • Have strong mechanical and diagnostic abilities
  • Take pride in accurate, high-quality repairs
  • Communicate well with the service team and other technicians
  • Be organized and capable of managing their workload
  • Be willing to ask questions and collaborate when needed
  • Care about the customer, not just the car
  • Bring a positive, problem-solving attitude to work
  • Have their own professional hand tools
  • Hold a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean, professional work environment

ASE certifications are a plus, but experience, character, and quality of work matter more to us than letters on a résumé.

The Kind of Shop We’re Building

Mountain Family Automotive isn’t interested in becoming a high-pressure repair mill.

We want to build a high-quality, professional shop where talented people can do great work, make a good living, and enjoy the people they work with.

Our core values are:

Trust. Communication. Generosity. Humility. Problem-Solving. Family.

Problem-solving is at the heart of what we do. When a vehicle comes into our shop, our job isn’t simply to sell repairs—it's to help the customer understand what's happening and work with them to find the best solution.

That same philosophy applies to our team. When something goes wrong, we’re interested in solving the problem together rather than pointing fingers.

What You’ll Work With

Our shop is equipped to handle a broad range of repair and diagnostic work, including:

  • General mechanical repair
  • Advanced diagnostics and electrical
  • Engine and drivability concerns
  • Steering and suspension
  • Brakes
  • Heating and A/C
  • Tires and TPMS
  • Four-wheel alignments
  • ADAS-related service and calibration
  • Preventative maintenance
  • Larger mechanical repairs

You’ll have the opportunity to work on everything from Subarus and Toyotas to domestic trucks, European vehicles, and the occasional unusual project that keeps things interesting.

Why Mountain Family Automotive?

We’re a locally owned independent shop with a growing customer base and a long-term vision for what Mountain Family Automotive can become.

We’re looking for someone who wants more than another place to punch a clock.

We want a technician who wants good equipment, good people, interesting work, clear communication, and an environment where excellent work is noticed and appreciated.

If you’re currently working at a dealership, chain, or independent shop and you’ve been wondering whether there’s a better environment out there, we’d like to talk.

You don’t need to be actively looking for a job.

Sometimes the right opportunity is simply worth a conversation.
