Hertz is seeking an Experienced Automotive Technician to join our high-energy maintenance team. You will perform diagnostics, repairs and preventative maintenance to ensure vehicles stay on the road. This role includes a leadership component and a focus on quality.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of hands-on vehicle maintenance experience, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to work well in a team while following safety standards. Valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years vehicle maintenance experience.
• ASE certification preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

The Experienced Automotive Technician is the top of our maintenance team with a focus on diagnostic and repair. This role will work to keep all equipment in running condition through our effective preventative maintenance program, as well as taking on the responsibility of handling complex repairs such as engine and transmission overhauls. This position is a master technician and assumes a leadership role with product knowledge and a standard of quality.

What You’ll Get:

• The hourly rate is $28.50 + median incentive is approximately $327/month, varies based on job performance.
• Overtime Pay: Eligible (The company pays overtime in accordance with federal, state, and local laws. Per company policy, approval is required prior to the use of overtime).
• Holiday Pay: Eligible (1.5 x regular pay rate for hours worked on a designated holiday, in addition to receiving 8 hours of holiday pay).
• Sick Pay: Granted Up to 48 hours.
• Paid Time Off / Vacation / Paid observed Holidays (Accruals start at .83 Days a Month, 4 Floating Holidays, 9 Paid Observed Holidays).
• Profit Sharing: Eligible.

Educational Background:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Trade School Preferred.
• ASE Certified Preferred.

Professional Experience:

• At minimum three (3) years of vehicle maintenance experience.

Knowledge:

• Must be able to perform vehicle repairs without oversight.
• Ability to repair vehicles independently, while also having experience working well in a team environment.
• Experience using shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines, and scan tools.

Additional Notes:

• Must have tools to perform necessary repairs.
• Must have a Valid Driver’s License.
