If so, Classic Toyota – Wilkesboro is seeking an experienced and skilled Service Technician to join our team. This is a full-time, individual contributor role in the auto industry in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles according to dealership and manufacturer standards. This is a commission-only position, with the potential to earn between $60,000 to $150,000 per year, paid semi-monthly.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform diagnostic tests and repairs on vehicles according to dealership and manufacturer standards
2. Identify and efficiently repair mechanical issues with vehicles, including engines, transmissions, suspension, and brakes
3. Use diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues
4. Keep track of all repair orders and maintain a clean and organized work area
5. Communicate effectively with the service team and provide updates on repair progress
6. Continuously develop technical skills and knowledge by attending training sessions and staying up to date with industry advancements
7. Follow all safety protocols and regulations

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school certificate or degree in automotive technology preferred
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience as an automotive technician required
3. ASE certifications preferred
4. Knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and tools
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
7. Strong communication and teamwork skills
8. Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
9. Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
