The Hertz Corporation is seeking an Experienced Automotive Technician in Phoenix, AZ. This master technician will focus on diagnostic and repair work, leading with product knowledge and a commitment to quality and preventative maintenance.

You will diagnose and repair engines and transmissions, support a preventative maintenance program, and contribute to a high-energy maintenance team. Overtime, holiday pay, and a strong benefits package accompany this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of vehicle maintenance experience.
• Ability to perform repairs without oversight.
• Experience with diagnostic equipment and shop tools.

The Experienced Automotive Technician is the top of our maintenance team with a focus on diagnostic and repair. This role will work to keep all equipment in running condition through our effective preventative maintenance program, as well as taking on the responsibility of handling complex repairs such as engine and transmission overhauls. This position is a master technician and assumes a leadership role with product knowledge and a standard of quality.

What You’ll Get

• The hourly rate is $28.50 + median incentive is approximately $327/month, varies based on job performance
• Overtime Pay: Eligible (The company pays overtime in accordance with federal, state, and local laws. Per company policy, approval is required prior to the use of overtime)
• Holiday Pay: Eligible (1.5 x regular pay rate for hours worked on a designated holiday, in addition to receiving 8 hours of holiday pay)
• Sick Pay: Granted Up to 48 hours
• Paid Time Off / Vacation / Paid observed Holidays (Accruals start at .83 Days a Month, 4 Floating Holidays, 9 Paid Observed Holidays)

Educational Background

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Trade School Preferred
• ASE Certified Preferred

Professional Experience

• At minimum three (3) years of vehicle maintenance experience

Knowledge

• Must be able to perform vehicle repairs without oversight
• Ability to repair vehicles independently, while also having experience working well in a team environment
• Experience using shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines, and scan tools

Additional Notes

• Must have tools to perform necessary repairs
• Must have a Valid Driver’s License
