Acura of Thousand Oaks is seeking an experienced flat-rate technician with strong diagnostic skills to service Acura and other import vehicles in a high-volume, luxury dealership environment in Southern California.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of flat-rate technician experience in a franchised dealership.
• Import brand experience preferred (Acura/ Honda backgrounds advantageous).
• ASE certifications are a strong plus; Acura factory certifications highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair Acura vehicles across engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, suspension, HVAC and more using Acura platforms and OEM procedures.
• Perform multi-point inspections and develop accurate repair plans; communicate findings to service advisors.
• Execute repairs to Acura factory specifications with speed, accuracy and no shortcuts.
• Complete repair orders accurately; document work and parts with precision.
• Stay current on Acura technical service bulletins and software updates.
• Perform test drives to confirm repair quality before vehicle return.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe workstation throughout shifts.
• Contribute to a shop culture emphasizing quality and accountability.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Diagnose and repair Acura vehicles across a full range of systems -- engine, transmission, brakes, electrical, suspension, HVAC, and beyond -- using Acura diagnostic platforms and OEM procedures
• Perform multi-point inspections and develop accurate repair plans -- communicating findings clearly to service advisors to support guest authorization
• Execute repairs to Acura factory specifications with speed, accuracy, and zero shortcuts
• Complete repair orders accurately -- documenting all work performed and parts used with precision
• Stay current on Acura technical service bulletins, software updates, and manufacturer repair procedures
• Perform test drives to validate diagnostic conclusions and confirm repair quality before vehicle return
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation throughout every shift
• Contribute to a shop culture where quality, accountability, and craftsmanship are the baseline

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 2+ years of flat-rate technician experience in a franchised dealership -- required
• Import brand experience preferred -- Acura and Honda backgrounds are a strong advantage; Toyota, Nissan, Mazda, Subaru, and other import platforms are welcome
• Strong diagnostic foundation -- able to work through multi-system problems accurately and efficiently
• ASE certifications a strong plus -- Acura factory certifications highly valued
• Low comeback rate and a quality standard you own
• Physically capable of performing the demands of the role throughout the shift
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
