Bayou Automotive in LaPlace, LA is seeking an experienced Service Advisor to be the face of the shop, bridging complex diagnostics and customer communication. You will greet customers, identify needs, document timelines, and ensure transparent estimates while coordinating with technicians to uphold safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience as a Service Advisor.
• Deep knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair processes.
• Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues in simple terms.
• Working knowledge of automotive shop management software.
• ASE certification is highly valued but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer and create a welcoming environment from the moment they walk through our doors.
• Perform walk-around inspections to identify vehicle needs and document them clearly.
• Maintain open, honest communication with clients regarding repair timelines and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with the technician team to ensure work meets safety and quality standards.
• Keep the shop database organized and accurate for consistent service.
• Follow up with clients after service to ensure satisfaction.
