Role Description The Experienced Automotive Sales Professional is responsible for guiding customers through the vehicle purchase process from initial contact to final delivery. This includes greeting and qualifying customers, understanding their needs and budget, presenting suitable new and pre-owned vehicles, and conducting test drives. The role involves explaining pricing, financing options, warranties, and dealership programs in a clear, ethical manner, while using CRM tools to follow up with leads and maintain relationships with past customers. Daily tasks include maintaining product knowledge, prospecting, training, staying informed about inventory and promotions, preparing accurate sales paperwork, and collaborating with finance and service departments to ensure a smooth customer experience. This is a full-time, on-site role located in the Columbus, Ohio Metropolitan Area, requiring regular weekend and evening availability.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in automotive sales or a similar high-volume, customer-facing sales environment, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong customer service skills, including active listening, relationship building, and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse customers.
• Solid knowledge of automotive products, features, and trim levels, or the ability and motivation to learn quickly and maintain up-to-date product expertise.
• Comfort with technology, including CRM systems, dealership management software, email, and basic office applications for documentation and follow-up.
• Effective negotiation and closing skills, with a commitment to ethical sales practices and a consultative approach to helping customers make informed decisions.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to manage multiple customers, appointments, and follow-ups in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or sales training is beneficial.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to safely operate vehicles for demonstrations and test drives.
