All Tune Cedar Rapids-5271 is seeking an Experienced Automotive Diagnostic Technician in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will serve as a senior technical authority, performing complex diagnostics, A/C service, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs, including engine and transmission work.

You will mentor less experienced technicians, uphold high safety and quality standards, and ensure customer satisfaction. Full-time, no weekends, with a 7:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a professional automotive repair facility.
• At least 4 current ASE certifications (preferred).
• EPA Section 609 Certification for automotive HVAC required
• Strong proficiency in advanced automotive diagnostics and electrical systems
• Must supply personal hand tools and specialty tools appropriate for the role
• Valid Iowa driver’s license and clean driving record
• Must be 18 years or older
• Team-oriented, dependable, and able to follow established procedures
• Commitment to ongoing professional development, including pursuit of ASE Master Certification

Position Overview

The Experienced Automotive Diagnostic Technician serves as the senior technical authority within our service department. You’ll perform advanced diagnostics, A/C service and repairs, electrical troubleshooting, and complete mechanical repairs—including engine and transmission replacements, timing systems, brake systems, suspension, and steering work. This role also involves mentoring less experienced technicians, maintaining high standards of quality and safety, and ensuring every repair meets customer satisfaction and company expectations.
