Job summary

Dutch Miller Kia of Barboursville is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join our Fixed Operations team in Barboursville, WV. Compensation ranges from $22.00 to $32.00 per flat-rate hour, based on experience, certifications, and skill level.

You do not need to be an A-Level or Master Technician to apply. We welcome technicians at different levels who want steady work, training, and opportunities to grow their careers within a growing automotive group.

Qualifications

• Previous professional automotive repair experience.
• Dealership experience preferred, but not required.
• Kia or other Asian-brand experience is a plus, but not required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Diagnostic experience is highly valued.
• ASE certifications are a plus, and manufacturer certifications are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical concerns.
• Perform maintenance and repair services according to manufacturer standards.
• Complete brake, steering, suspension, cooling, HVAC, and electrical repairs.
• Perform engine and transmission repairs based on experience and certification level.
• Utilize manufacturer diagnostic equipment and technical information.
• Complete thorough vehicle inspections and identify needed maintenance and repairs.
• Document diagnostic findings and repairs accurately.
• Communicate effectively with Service Advisors and management.
• Maintain quality workmanship while meeting productivity expectations.
• Participate in Kia factory training and continued technician development.
• Maintain an organized and professional work environment.
