Job summary

Dutch Miller Kia is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join their Barboursville Fixed Operations team. You will diagnose and repair a range of mechanical and electrical concerns, perform routine maintenance, and advance through factory training opportunities.

The role supports technicians at varying skill levels and emphasizes steady work, competitive earnings, and ongoing training to grow your career within a thriving dealer group.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year of automotive repair experience.
• Dealership experience preferred but not required.
• Kia or Asian-brand experience a plus but not required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
• Diagnostic experience valued.
• ASE certifications or manufacturer certifications are a plus.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to work in a team in a dealership setting.
• Willingness to pursue training and advance skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical concerns.
• Perform maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Complete brake, steering, suspension, cooling, HVAC, and electrical work.
• Conduct engine and transmission repairs based on experience.
• Use manufacturer diagnostic tools and information.
• Document findings and repairs clearly and accurately.
• Communicate with Service Advisors and management.
• Maintain quality workmanship while meeting productivity goals.
• Participate in Kia factory training and technician development.
• Keep a clean, organized, professional workspace.
