Job summary

Dutch Miller Kia of Barboursville is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join our Fixed Operations team in Barboursville, WV. Compensation ranges from $22.00 to $32.00 per flat-rate hour; the company emphasizes work, tools, training, and opportunity to grow within the Dutch Miller Auto Group.

Qualifications

• Previous professional automotive repair experience.
• Dealership experience preferred, but not required.
• Kia or other Asian-brand experience is a plus, but not required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Diagnostic experience is highly valued.
• ASE certifications are a plus.
• Manufacturer certifications are a plus.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented dealership environment.
• Willingness to continue training and advance technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical concerns
• Perform maintenance and repair services according to manufacturer standards
• Complete brake, steering, suspension, cooling, HVAC, and electrical repairs
• Perform engine and transmission repairs based on experience and certification level
• Utilize manufacturer diagnostic equipment and technical information
• Complete thorough vehicle inspections and identify needed maintenance and repairs
• Document diagnostic findings and repairs accurately
• Communicate effectively with Service Advisors and management
• Maintain quality workmanship while meeting productivity expectations
• Participate in Kia factory training and continued technician development
• Maintain an organized and professional work environment
