Job summary

CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) is hiring an Experienced Audit Associate to service nonprofit clients in North Carolina. This in-office role is based out of our North Carolina offices and provides opportunities to lead engagements and mentor staff.

You will perform audit procedures, prepare financial statements, and communicate with clients to ensure timely engagement wrap-up. A Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance is required, CPA is preferred, and travel to client sites may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• Current CPA or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam is preferred.
• 1 year of relevant experience in professional services required (internships may qualify).
• Ability to travel to client sites, including infrequent overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of audit and accounting procedures impacting industry-specific issues.
• Audit complex areas or transactions and prepare financial statements and related reports.
• Schedule, delegate, and review the work of staff.
• Supervise, train, and mentor staff.
• Keep Manager or Principal informed of engagement status and issues.
• Proactively interact and communicate with clients to gather information to ensure timely engagement wrap-up.

CliftonLarsonAllen, LLP is hiring an Experienced Audit Associate to service our Nonprofit clients in North Carolina. As an Experienced Audit Associate, you will perform significant audit and other assurance engagements for our clients, build relationships, and assure continued close personal attention to their needs. CLA auditors get the footing they need to step confidently into leadership positions and more specialized practice areas. This position will be an in-office role based out of any one of our North Carolina offices.
