Job summary

CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) is hiring an Audit & Assurance Senior to join CLA's Nonprofit team. You will execute and manage nonprofit audit engagements, review client processes, and help strengthen internal controls.

This is an in-office role based out of Sunbelt locations including Houston. Required: Bachelor's in accounting/finance, 2+ years public accounting experience; CPA eligibility preferred; ability to travel to client sites, including overnight stays.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of public accounting experience with emphasis in financial statement preparation, audits, reviews, and compilations is required.
• Ability to travel to client sites which may also require infrequent overnight travel.
• Current CPA or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam is preferred.
• Prior experience with an established public accounting or professional services firm is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Executing and managing day-to-day activities of audit engagements with nonprofit clients from start to finish, including budget, planning, fieldwork, directing staff and completing financial statements.
• Reviewing client accounting and operating procedures.
• Developing and assessing the design and implementation of internal controls.
• Preparing all necessary financial statement disclosures and reportable condition correspondence letters.
• Communicating technical matters to clients and management.

CliftonLarsonAllen, LLP is hiring an Audit & Assurance Senior to join CLA's Nonprofit team. In this role, you'll do specialized work with our not for profit clients, in order to help them secure funding for their institutions and the services they provide to their local communities. This is an in office position based out of one of our Sunbelt office locations: Charlotte, Raleigh, Nashville, Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio, and Houston.

What You'll create opportunities in this Audit Senior role:

• Executing and managing the day-to-day activities of audit engagements with our nonprofit clients from start to finish, including managing the budget, planning, fieldwork, directing staff and completing financial statements, including related disclosures
• Reviewing client accounting and operating procedures
• Developing and assessing the design and implementation of internal controls

• Utilizing proactive and effective communication with staff, management, and clients to communicate technical matters to both clients and management.

What You Will Need
