Job summary

WR Immigration is a global immigration firm known for innovation, technology, and high-touch legal services. The firm offers remote consideration with preference for Mountain or Pacific Time Zones and is expanding its Associate Attorney team in a high-volume practice.

The Associate Attorney role involves direct client communication, leading case strategy discussions, and supervising staff to ensure accurate filings across nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions.

Qualifications

• Valid membership in an applicable Bar association.
• 5+ years of business immigration experience.
• Strong knowledge across nonimmigrant visa matters (H-1B, L-1A/L-1B, E-2, O-1, TN, E-3, J-1).
• Strong knowledge of employment-based permanent residence matters (PERM, EB-1A, EB-1B, EB-1C, NIW).
• Experience handling RFEs, NOIDs and challenging case issues.
• Experience with startups and smaller corporate clients; immigration strategy advised as companies grow.
• Proven success in fast-paced environments; excellent communication and writing; well-organized.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining timely communications with clients during and after applications for program management and compliance.
• Supervising and collaborating with staff to ensure correct preparation and filing of applications.

WR is one of the fastest growing immigration service providers worldwide with over 46 attorneys and 200 immigration professionals working out of offices in Boston, Denver, Los Angeles, New York, Oakland, San Diego, San Francisco, Santa Monica, and Shanghai.

Associate Attorneys work alongside Legal Assistants, Paralegals, Team Managers, Partners, and other Associates to prepare and file a variety of business-related non-immigrant and immigrant visa petitions, including taking a leading role in client communication, working closely with legal support teams to ensure understanding of general and specific case strategies, and conducting high-level case reviews of work done by legal support teams. We are looking to add an Associate Attorney to our growing team; remote applicants will be considered, with preference given to candidates in Mountain or Pacific Time Zones.

Associate Attorney Responsibilities

• Analyzing and communicating options to address clients’ business immigration needs
• Maintaining timely and accurate lines of communications with clients both during and after the application process to provide support with immigration program management and compliance
• Supervising and collaborating with supporting staff to ensure that applications are prepared and filed correctly
• Maintaining accuracy for high volume, rapid turnover cases
• Assisting clients and staff with questions throughout the filing process
• Other duties as required

Requirements

• Valid membership in an applicable Bar association
• 5+ years of business immigration experience
• Strong knowledge across a broad range of nonimmigrant visa matters, including H-1B, L-1A/L-1B, E-2 Treaty Investor, O-1, TN, E-3, and J-1 matters
• Strong knowledge of employment-based permanent residence matters, including PERM, EB-1A, EB-1B, EB-1C, NIW, and adjustment of status
• Significant experience handling complex RFEs, NOIDs, and other challenging case issues
• Experience working directly with startups and smaller corporate clients, including advising on immigration strategy as companies grow
• Proven track record of success in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Strong organization skills
• Experience managing multiple competing priorities independently
• Excellent attention to detail and interpersonal skills

Interested applicants will be required to submit a resume, cover letter, and writing sample. The anticipated salary range for this position is between $160,000 and $200,000 per year.
