Job summary

Cayuse Language Connect, LLC is seeking a skilled American Sign Language interpreter to provide high-quality ASL interpretation across education, medical, legal, and community settings. The role supports Deaf and hearing communication, with a mix of remote and on-site assignments.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience, a relevant bachelor's degree, and RID/BEI/CDI certifications. Travel and on-call availability are required in this position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of professional ASL interpreting experience in education, medical, community, or legal settings.
• Bachelor’s Degree in ASL, Linguistics, Deaf Studies, or related field preferred.
• RID, BEI, or CDI certification required or equivalent.
• Willingness to travel for on-site assignments.

Responsibilities

• Provide ASL-to-English and English-to-ASL interpretation for one-on-one interactions, group settings, and virtual or in-person meetings.
• Facilitate communication in education, healthcare, legal, and community settings.
• Utilize VRI and other technologies for remote interpretation when required.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to RID Code of Professional Conduct.
• Work collaboratively with Deaf individuals, colleagues, and staff to deliver seamless communication.
