Job summary

Cayuse Language Connect, LLC seeks a skilled American Sign Language interpreter to provide high-quality interpretation across education, medical, legal, and community settings for Deaf and hearing clients.

The role supports remote and on-site assignments, uses VRI and other technologies, and adheres to RID Code of Professional Conduct. On-call availability and occasional travel are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional ASL interpreting experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in ASL, Linguistics, Deaf Studies, or related field preferred
• RID/BEI/CDI certifications or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate ASL-to-English and English-to-ASL interpretation for one-on-one, group, and virtual or in-person meetings
• Facilitate communication in education, healthcare, legal, and community settings
• Utilize Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) and other technologies for remote interpretation
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to RID Code of Professional Conduct
• Collaborate with Deaf individuals, colleagues, and organizational personnel to ensure seamless communication
• Perform other language support tasks as assigned
