Job summary

Cayuse Language Connect, LLC is seeking an experienced American Sign Language interpreter to provide high-quality ASL interpretation across education, medical, legal, environmental, and social services. The role emphasizes confidentiality, professional conduct, and collaboration with Deaf individuals and staff.

Candidates should have 5+ years of interpreting experience, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and RID/BEI/CDI certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of professional ASL interpreting experience in education, medical, community, or legal.
• Bachelor’s Degree in ASL, Linguistics, Deaf Studies or related field is strongly preferred.
• Must hold RID/BEI certificates or CDI certification, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate ASL-to-English and English-to-ASL interpretation for one-on-one, group, and virtual or in-person settings.
• Facilitate communication across education, healthcare, legal, and community services.
• Utilize VRI and other tech for remote interpretation when required.
• Maintain confidentiality per RID Code of Professional Conduct.
• Collaborate with Deaf individuals, colleagues, and staff to ensure seamless communication.
• Perform other language support tasks as assigned.
