Job summary

Bombardier is seeking an Experienced Airframe & Powerplant Technician (A&P) at the Wichita Service/Completion Center. This role performs maintenance, inspections and repairs on aircraft with limited supervision, aligning with manuals and safety standards.

Qualified candidates have an FAA Airframe license and 2 years on Bombardier products or 4 years in aircraft maintenance, with strong communication, tool handling and drawing interpretation skills.

Qualifications

  • FAA airframe license required.
  • 2 years’ Bombardier product experience or 4 years’ aircraft maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
  • Proficient with hand tools and basic PC use.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Repair, install, inspect, and maintain customer aircraft with limited supervision.
  • Communicate clearly in writing and verbally with team and customers.
  • Perform work per manuals and applicable regulations.
  • Operate aircraft ground support equipment and industrial vehicles.
  • Maintain and inventory hand tools; ensure tool control.
  • Interpret mechanical drawings and schematics for maintenance.
  • Follow EH&S policies; participate in 5-S activities.
  • Assist with inspections and troubleshooting.

What are your contributions to the team?
  • Adhere to general work requirements
  • Repair, install, inspect, and perform maintenance on customer aircraft with limited supervision
  • Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form
  • Perform and document work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required

  • Ability to operate industrial vehicles and equipment (scissor/boom lift, forklift, etc.)
  • Own and maintain hand tools with the ability to demonstrate inventory and control of tools
  • Ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings
  • Comply with environmental, health and safety policies and procedures. Participate in 5-S activities. Perform work in a safe and timely manner
  • Basic PC skills
  • Demonstrate active work order and time management
  • Working knowledge on Bombardier enterprise systems
  • Working knowledge on aircraft systems
  • Assist with inspections and troubleshooting
How to thrive in this role?
  • You have an FAA Airframe license
  • You have minimum of 2 years’ experience on Bombardier product(s) OR 4 years’ aircraft maintenance experience
