Job summary

Bombardier Transportation GmbH is seeking an Experienced Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Technician for our Dallas, TX service center. You will troubleshoot, repair, install and maintain customer aircraft, documenting work per manuals and safety policies.

The role requires an A&P certificate and typically 5+ years of maintenance experience, with ability to interpret drawings and communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• A&P certificate is required.
• Minimum of 5 years aircraft maintenance experience or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Own basic hand tools and inventory control.
• Ability to obtain Ground Support Equipment (GSE) qualifications as needed.
• Willingness to work overtime and holidays, including non‑scheduled days.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• SIDA badge eligibility.
• Experience on corporate jets is preferred.
• Basic PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, install, inspect and perform maintenance on customer aircraft.
• Perform and document work per manuals and regulations.
• Adhere to Bombardier work requirements for factory, shop or hangar positions.
• Comply with Environmental Health & Safety policies.
• Participate in 5‑S activities and maintain a clean work area.
• Operate ground support equipment as required.
• Perform mechanical/electrical removals and installations.
• Assist with off-site maintenance as needed.
• Assist other maintenance disciplines as needed.
• Assist with fuel/de‑fuel of aircraft as needed.
• Assist with engine removal/installation as needed.
• Assist with aircraft component repair as needed.

What are your contributions to the team?

How to thrive in this role?

• You have an Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate
• You typically have a minimum of5years' aircraft maintenance work experience or substantiated equivalent experience
• You have the ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings
• You have the ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on individual and/or aircraft status
• You have your own basic set of hand tools with the ability to demonstrate Inventory and control of tools
• You have the ability to obtain appropriate Ground Support Equipment (GSE) qualifications as required
• You are able to work unscheduled overtime including nonscheduled work days and holidays
• You are able to work in seasonal/inclement weather outside
• You have the ability to obtain a Security Identification Display Area badge (SIDA)
• You have experience on corporate jets (preferred)
• You have basic PC skills
