Job summary

UnityPoint Health – Meriter Therapy is seeking an Experience Specialist to support outpatient rehabilitation services. The role includes front desk duties, patient scheduling, registration, and ensuring a smooth patient journey across clinics in the Madison/Deforest area.

You will collaborate with the therapy team to deliver patient-centered care and participate in team initiatives, with opportunities for professional growth and mentorship within the department.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in hospital/healthcare customer service preferred.
• Receptionist/clerical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Front desk reception and administrative/clerical support – patient appointment scheduling, point of service payment collections, and registration processes support.
• Patient navigation from entry to exit of clinic and periodic regulatory/compliance checks.
• Room readiness: organizing, cleaning and prepping of patient care areas, equipment maintenance, and supply ordering.
• Travel between clinics to support multiple outpatient therapy sites; mileage pay for travel between clinics.

We are seeking a dynamic Experience Specialist to join our Outpatient Rehab Therapy Team. • Front desk reception and administrative/clerical support – Patient appointment scheduling, point of service payment collections, and registration processes support. Patient navigation from point of entry to exit of clinic. Perform periodic regulatory and compliance checks.
• Room reset and readiness tasks – Organizing, cleaning and prepping of patient care areas, completing equipment maintenance requirements, and supply ordering.

This ESR - Float position will be based at the Pediatric Therapy Clinic in Deforest but will travel between all outpatient therapy clinics to offer support as needed. There will be additional mileage pay if travelling between clinics. Sites include: Deforest, Monona, Central, West, McKee and Middleton.

• Work within the context of patient-centered care in an outpatient therapy clinic setting.
• Work collaboratively with the therapy team to support exceptional patient experience and outcomes.
• Embrace lifelong learning: willingly give and receive feedback and learn from team members, seek continual learning opportunities, and share feedback to promote the growth of the team.
• Engage in staff meetings and project groups to support exceptional patient care.
• Remain up to date with clinic operation changes and workflows (review meeting minutes, review email communications, etc.)
• Demonstrate a willingness to be flexible and to take on additional responsibilities to support the team and process improvement initiatives within the department.
