Job description

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to lead and manage high-quality commercial construction projects. You will oversee all aspects of project execution, from planning to completion, ensuring safety, timeliness, and budget adherence. Ideal candidates will have substantial experience with a General Contractor or Construction Management firm, managing large-scale commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead planning, scheduling, and budgeting of commercial construction projects.
2. Coordinate subcontractor and supplier activities to meet project timelines.
3. Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols on-site.
4. Verify and review time/material documentation for accuracy and efficiency.
5. Conduct readiness checks for subcontractor mobilization.
6. Manage resources to maximize productivity.
7. Supervise onsite personnel, subcontractors, and labor teams.
8. Act as the main contact with project inspectors, architects, engineers, contractors, officials, and clients.
9. Negotiate with contractors for competitive pricing on materials and services.
10. Maintain high-quality standards to meet project specifications.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Engineering, or related field.
• At least 3 years’ experience as a superintendent on commercial projects.
• Proven experience working with general contractors or construction management firms.
• OSHA 10 or 30 Certification.
• Experience in building maintenance and carpentry is advantageous.
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
• Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Timberline, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Attention to detail, with a focus on quality, deadlines, and safety compliance.
