Job summary

Lincoln Financial Group is seeking a finance professional to partner with business leaders on budgeting, forecasting, and expense management. The role focuses on delivering standard, complex, and ad hoc analyses to support decision making.

You will identify financial issues, provide insights, and implement automation to improve processes and efficiency across the organization. The position requires strong communication and adaptability in a changing environment.

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of experience in expense management or finance.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Technical knowledge of Essbase, Hyperion, Anaplan, Excel, Business Objects.
  • Strong problem-solving, process improvement, and critical thinking skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a changing work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders to support budgeting, forecasting, expense management, five-year planning, and monthly/quarterly variance analysis.
  • Collect, compile, evaluate, and analyze financial information for standard, complex, and ad hoc analyses.
  • Identify financial issues and provide actionable insights to management with mitigation strategies.
  • Communicate complex financial information to diverse audiences.
  • Drive automation, process improvements, and enhancements to financial processes.
  • Monitor trends and incorporate new solutions and best practices with management.
  • Champion organizational initiatives and support change management.
  • Serve as a resource to team members and stakeholders.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to reduce workload or improve quality.
  • Consult/Analyze on complex assignments and projects for assigned areas.

What you'll be doing
  • Partnering directly with business leaders to support budgeting, forecasting, expense management, five-year planning, and monthly/quarterly variance analysis.
  • Collecting, compiling, evaluating, and analyzing financial information to deliver standard, complex, and ad hoc financial analyses that support business decision-making.
  • Identifying financial issues and concerns, providing actionable insights to management, and recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Communicating complex financial information effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Driving automation, process improvements, and enhancements to financial processes and procedures.
  • Monitoring emerging trends and developments, assessing business impacts, and partnering with management to incorporate new solutions and best practices.
  • Championing and enhancing organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives.
  • Serving as a resource to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders.
  • Identifying and recommending process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality.
  • Consults/Analyze on more complex assignments and/or projects for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Performing and delivering on routine assignments/projects while simultaneously leveraging and applying knowledge of your assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Communicating to management on recognized trends of issues/concerns.
  • Performing other duties as required.
What we're looking for
  • 3-5+ Years experience in expense mgmt. or finance directly aligned to the specific responsibilities for this position.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Technical knowledge of Essbase, Hyperion, Anaplan, Excel, Business Objects
  • Strong problem-solving, process improvement, and critical thinking skills, identifying the appropriate resources and tools to drive solutions.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a changing work environment.

The pay range for this position is$84,375 - $135,000with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln's total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln's standard benefits package.
