Transamerica Corporation invites a Summer 2027 Expense Management Intern to join our Cedar Rapids team. You will assist with reporting, forecasting, and data management, gaining exposure to budgeting processes and large financial datasets.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a college/university pursuing business analytics, accounting, finance, or similar analytical degree.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• SQL knowledge is preferred.
• Alteryx and Tableau knowledge are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with large data sets from various systems to analyze results and help team understand financial implications.
• Extract, transform, and load data using data management tools (including Excel, Tableau, Alteryx).
• Perform financial analysis and evaluate monthly forecast updates.
• Assist in monthly/quarterly expense reporting for management.
• Support monthly close processes for amortization and capitalization entries.
• Engage with the Expense Management team to learn roles and responsibilities.
• Attend intern events and networking opportunities.
