Southern Kitchen Restaurant in Richmond, VA is hiring an experienced Expeditor to bridge the kitchen and dining room during high-volume service. You will verify orders, maintain quality, and ensure accurate modifications reach guests.

The ideal candidate brings restaurant expeditor experience, understands service flow, and communicates effectively with team members to keep service smooth and guests satisfied.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Expeditor or similar restaurant position is preferred.
• Restaurant experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of restaurant service flow and ticket organization.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify errors quickly.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple orders during high-volume service.
• Weekend, evening, and holiday availability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the expo window and coordinate the flow of food from the kitchen to the dining room.
• Review orders and tickets to ensure accuracy before food leaves the kitchen.
• Verify guest modifications, special requests, and allergy notifications are addressed.
• Inspect plates for presentation, portions, garnishes, sauces, sides, and overall quality.
• Organize completed dishes by table and ensure entire orders are ready when possible.
• Communicate clearly with cooks, servers, food runners, and managers during service.
• Monitor ticket times and communicate delays to prevent service issues.
• Coordinate with Food Runners and Servers to ensure timely delivery to guests.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and stocked expo station.
