Job Summary: The restaurant Expeditor ensures quality and proper presentation of food in a timely manner; that food orders are prepared and assembled quickly according to recipes and procedures to avoid waste; and that the line is always stocked, neat, clean and safe.
Job Responsibilities
- Timeliness: Ensures kitchen orders are prepared in a timely manner and sent out together by directing servers and/or food runners to deliver and complete the orders.
- Pace: Maintains a brisk and steady pace, stays organized, and avoids unnecessary steps.
- Recipe Adherence: Ensures proper presentation of each plate and the appropriate temperature.
- Cleanliness: Maintains the kitchen and all equipment in a "like new" condition. Practice clean as you go!
- Productivity: Measures productivity by both the quality of work and the quantity completed within a specific time period.
- Organization skills: Essential for efficiency.
- Think ahead: Stock supplies before the rush.
