Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Communicate directly with domestic and international suppliers to expedite orders and obtain shipment status updates.
• Run daily purchasing reports and distribute open purchase order reports to suppliers.
• Monitor outstanding purchase orders and follow up on delivery schedules.
• Issue RFQs to support purchasing activities.
• Maintain and update purchasing information in company systems.
• Prepare and maintain KPI reports (daily, weekly, monthly).
• Purchase C-Class materials, MRO supplies as needed.
• Work closely with Buyers to support purchasing and procurement needs.
• Identify potential supply delays and communicate updates to the team.
• Assist with additional purchasing and administrative duties as assigned.

Job Description: Associated Staffing is hiring an Expeditor in Hastings, NE! This is a great opportunity for someone with purchasing, procurement or supply chain experience who enjoys working with suppliers, tracking orders and keeping operations running efficiently. The Expeditor will work closely with Buyers and suppliers to monitor purchase orders, expedite materials, maintain purchasing records and track key performance indicators (KPIs). This position offers flexible daytime hours, competitive pay and the potential to transition into a permanent role.

Job Responsibilities

• Communicate directly with domestic and international suppliers to expedite orders and obtain shipment status updates.
• Run daily purchasing reports and distribute open purchase order reports to suppliers.
• Monitor outstanding purchase orders and follow up on delivery schedules.
• Issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to support purchasing activities.
• Maintain and update purchasing information in company systems.
• Prepare and maintain daily, weekly and monthly KPI reports.
• Purchase C-Class materials, maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) supplies as needed.
• Work closely with Buyers to support purchasing and procurement needs.
• Identify potential supply delays and communicate updates to appropriate team members.
• Assist with additional purchasing and administrative duties as assigned.

• Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, expediting or supply chain operations preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 3 5 years of related experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Basic data analysis and reporting skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate professionally with domestic and international suppliers.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Demonstrated sense of urgency and responsiveness to business needs.

Pay & Schedule

Pay: $20.00 $25.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Hours: Up to 30 hours per week.

Schedule: Flexible daytime hours between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

Lunch: 1-hour unpaid lunch break.

Assignment Length: Approximately 12 months.

Employment Type: Long-term temporary position with potential for permanent hire.
