Job summary

Upstream Hospitality Group is seeking an Expeditor/ Food runner to join Tap Room’s team in Jericho, NY. You’ll be fast on your feet, ensure timely delivery of dishes, verify presentation, and assist both front- and back-of-house to maintain a smooth dining experience.

We value teamwork, reliability, and strong communication. Night, weekend, and holiday shifts are required; physical work involves lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• Ability to carry multiple plates, trays, and beverages safely.
• Strong attention to detail and multitasking.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely, accurate, and professional delivery of food to guests.
• Confirm every dish meets presentation and preparation standards before it leaves the kitchen.
• Review orders for special instructions, dietary needs, and modifications.
• Communicate guest feedback, concerns, or additional requests to servers and managers.
• Greet guests warmly and contribute to an outstanding dining experience.
• Support the front-of-house and back-of-house teams by staying proactive and engaged.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace policies.
• Assist with additional duties to help the team and maintain smooth restaurant operations.
