Job summary

RIO SECO SCHOOL in Santee, CA, is hiring an Expanded Learning Program Site Leader to support PreK–8th grade enrichment services. The role involves assisting the ELP Site Lead, supervising facilities, administering basic health measures, tracking attendance, and coordinating engaging activities.

9:30am–6:00pm, year-round, with paid benefits. Starting immediately; salary listed at hourly rate with 12-month work year.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of general developmental stages and behaviors of students.
• Ability to work independently and with minimal direction; maintain confidentiality.
• Training/education: High school or equivalent; paraprofessional certification or equivalent per CA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist ELP Site Lead with implementing a quality program aligned to District Plan.
• Supervise facilities and areas to ensure a safe learning environment.
• Administer medication and provide basic first aid/CPR/AED as needed.
• Implement attendance tracking procedures.
• Organize and lead engaging activities aligned with the program plan.
• Communicate with parents and staff regarding students.
• Guide and train staff and substitutes on program implementation.
• Monitor student arrival, departure, transitions, and field trips; enforce policies.
• Prepare and distribute snacks in sanitary conditions.
• Maintain program records and positive school climate.
• Support site-level behavior interventions per approved methodologies.
• Check restrooms and facilities for rule compliance.
• May perform duties of ELP Enrichment Leader and limited ELP Site Lead tasks.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
