Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Team Lead

Join our team as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Team Lead at Big Smiles.

Position Overview

Big Smiles Florida, a school-based mobile dental program, is seeking a qualified Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Team Lead in Jacksonville Beach, FL, and surrounding areas to provide dental care to underserved children starting in the Fall 2025 school year.

Qualifications

• Licensed EFDA in Florida
• Experience with Sealants and Polishing
• Organized, reliable, able to multi-task
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Valid Florida X-ray operator license
• BLS certification
• At least 1 year of dental assisting experience
• Digital X-ray experience
• Valid Florida driver’s license and willingness to travel
• Works well with children
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Bilingual skills preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide dental assisting services during mobile clinics
• Operate digital X-ray equipment
• Manage patient records and charting
• Assist with equipment setup, sterilization, and breakdown
• Travel daily to school sites

Team Lead Duties

• Drive company vehicle
• Ensure timely arrival and meet deadlines
• Order supplies and sterilize instruments
• Maintain van and equipment condition
• Perform back-office duties
