Qualifications

• EFDA certification or license as required by state law.
• Experience assisting in busy dental clinic settings; pediatric dentistry/oral surgery exposure preferred.
• Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control standards.
• Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while following safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists with restorations, crown preparations, and prosthodontics.
• Take and develop dental radiographs ensuring infection prevention compliance.
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and maintain infection control.
• Manage patient records using EMR systems; ensure confidentiality (HIPAA).
• Provide chairside assistance during procedures including oral surgery and endodontics.
• Monitor vital signs and assist in imaging to support patient care.
• Support scheduling, medical documentation, and receptionist duties as needed.
• Maintain dental equipment including 3D scanners and x-ray machines.
