Qualifications

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists with complex procedures including restorations, crown preparations, and prosthodontics using advanced dental techniques.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) ensuring compliance with infection prevention management and aseptic techniques.
• Prepare and process dental instruments and materials, maintaining strict sterilization procedures in accordance with infection control policies.
• Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Perform chairside assisting during procedures involving oral surgery, endodontics, pediatric dentistry, and other general dentistry treatments.
• Monitor vital signs and assist in medical imaging when necessary to support comprehensive patient care.
• Support patient management by scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and providing excellent customer service as a dental receptionist when needed.
• Maintain dental equipment including 3D scanners, dental x-ray machines, and other clinical tools to ensure optimal performance.
• Follow clinical confidentiality policies diligently while delivering compassionate patient care in a team-oriented environment.

Requirements

• Valid Expanded Functions Dental Assistant certification or license as required by state law.
• Proven experience in dental assisting within a busy dental clinic setting, preferably with exposure to pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, or prosthodontics.
• Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with patient management software is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control standards including dental sterilization procedures.
• Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while adhering to safety protocols and radiation guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly to patients of all ages.
• Knowledge of dental equipment operation including 3D scanners and other digital imaging tools.
• Commitment to clinical confidentiality policies and healthcare infection prevention and control practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment practicing four-handed dentistry techniques for optimal patient comfort.

Pay

Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
