Job summary

Entertimeonline seeks an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to support the dentist, improve patient care, and perform expanded functions as allowed by state regulations. This is a new office with potential to grow into a full-time position as the practice expands.

Responsibilities include assisting during procedures, preparing instruments, X-rays, coronal polishing, and educating patients. The role will require infection control compliance and contributing to a positive patient

Qualifications

• EFDA/EDDA certification and dental X-ray certification required.
• Nitrous oxide certification, as required by the state.
• CPR certification.
• Must be able to perform coronal polishing.
• Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures.
• Prepare and maintain instruments, equipment, and treatment areas.
• Follow all infection control and safety procedures.
• Perform expanded functions as permitted by state regulations.
• Take dental X-rays and impressions.
• Place and contour restorations and apply sealants, as permitted.
• Perform coronal polishing.
• Prepare and educate patients before and after treatment.
• Provide basic oral hygiene instructions.
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
• Help maintain dental supply inventory.
• Support the overall efficiency and patient experience of the office.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our team. The EFDA will assist the dentist, provide excellent patient care, and perform expanded dental functions as allowed by state regulations.

This is a new office with an opportunity to grow into a full-time position as the office expands.

Schedule:

• Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM–2:00 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM–12:00 PM to start
• As the office grows, this position is expected to transition to full-time hours in 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures.
