Job summary

Elite Dental Partners is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant that shares our passion for patient care and education, and for creating a welcoming environment. You’ll support dentists and hygienists chair-side, help chart treatment plans, and contribute to a productive, friendly practice.

Responsibilities include taking and processing X-rays, sterilizing equipment, educating patients on oral health, and maintaining patient files, with opportunities for growth and a comprehensive

Qualifications

• EFDA/EDDA/EFODA certification required.
• Radiology certification required by State Dental Board.
• Nitrous certification required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Dental Assistant preferred.

• Provide chair-side clinical support to Dentists and Hygienists by charting, patient education, operatory set-up and clean-up.
• Deliver a superior patient experience at all phases of their appointment.
• Take and process X-Rays.
• Perform procedures as directed by the Dentist and Hygienist, while maintaining a productive, efficient schedule.
• Enter patient treatment plans and maintain files.
• Complete sterilization processes for equipment and operatories.
• Educate patients on the importance of their oral health and how it is best maintained.

• Advanced Dental Assistant Certification (EFDA, EDDA, EFODA)
• Radiology certification required to be compliant with the State Dental Board
• Nitrous certification required
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Dental Assistant preferred
• Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products and working with a dental software, experience with Dentrix preferred
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to partnering with all team members to create a great environment
