Premier Dentist Partners is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to provide advanced chair-side support and high-quality patient care. You will perform expanded functions, assist with restorative procedures, take X-rays, and help maintain sterile, efficient treatment rooms alongside a supportive dental team.

The role emphasizes patient education, precise charting, and collaboration with dentists to deliver exceptional care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• EFDA certification required or state-specific equivalent.
• Radiography certification and ability to take and process X-rays.
• Solid knowledge of dental instruments, materials, restorations, and infection-control protocols.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential for patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists chairside during restorative and general procedures.
• Perform expanded functions within state requirements.
• Assist with placement and contouring of fillings and temporary crowns/bridges.
• Take dental impressions and help prepare study models.
• Provide orthodontic assistance as needed.
• Take and process dental X-rays per state law.
• Sterilize instruments and prepare treatment rooms per OSHA/CDC standards.
• Educate patients on treatment and post-operative care.

As an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA), you will play a key role in providingadvanced chair-side assistance while delivering high-quality dental care. This positionoffers the opportunity to utilize your expanded clinical skills and contribute meaningfully topatient care alongside a supportive dental team.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists chairside during a wide range of restorative and general dentalprocedures
• Perform expanded functions within the scope of state-specific requirements
• Assist with restorative procedures, including placement and contouring of amalgamand composite fillings
• Support temporary crown and bridge fabrication and placement
• Take accurate dental impressions and assist with preparing study models
• Provide orthodontic assistance as needed
• Take and process dental X-rays in accordance with state requirements
• Prepare, clean, and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms following OSHA andCDC infection control standards
• Provide clear patient education regarding treatment, post-operative instructions,and oral hygiene
• Maintain detailed and compliant patient records, including accurate charting ofprocedures and treatment notes
• Maintain dental equipment and treatment areas
• Organize and restock dental supplies as needed
• Collaborate with dentists and the dental team to ensure an exceptional patientexperience

Qualifications

• Expanded Functions Dental Assistant certification and compliance with all statespecific requirements (if applicable)
• Certification in dental radiography with the ability to take and process X-rays
• Knowledge of dental instruments, materials, restorative procedures, and infectioncontrol protocols
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
