Ohio Kids Dental (Maumee) is part of Kids Dental Brands, a growing network of pediatric dental practices. We are hiring an Expanded FunctionDental Assistant (EFDA) to join our team to deliver exceptional patient care and support with dentists and the office staff.

Qualifications

• CPR/BLS Certification is required.
• EFDA LVL 1 Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist office managers in supporting and supervising back-office employees.
• Work chair-side with dentists, perform patient care, and general laboratory duties.
• Take and process dental radiographs (x-rays).
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Take impressions of the patient's teeth (models), extractions, composite fillings, etc.
• Teach patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling).
• Ask about the patient's medical history and take blood pressure and pulse.
• Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment.
• Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures.
