Job summary

Kids Dental Brands is seeking an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our Maumee team. You will work chair-side with dentists, assist with patient care, radiographs, and lab duties, while supporting back-office staff and ensuring a smooth patient flow.

Required are CPR/BLS and EFDA LVL 1 certification. This full-time, on-site role offers a daytime schedule with growth opportunities within our pediatric dental network, emphasizing compassionate care and patient education.

• Current CPR/BLS Certification is required.
• EFDA LVL 1 Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist office managers in supporting and supervising back-office employees.
• Work chair-side with dentists, perform patient care, and general laboratory duties.
• Take and process dental radiographs (x-rays).
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Take impressions of the patient's teeth (models), extractions, composite fillings, etc.
• Teach patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health.
• Ask about the patient's medical history and take blood pressure and pulse.
• Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment.
• Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures.

What You’ll Do

• Assist office managers in supporting and supervising back-office employees
• Work chair-side with dentists, perform patient care, and general laboratory duties

• Teach patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling)
• Ask about the patient's medical history and take blood pressure and pulse
• Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment
• Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures

• EFDA LVL 1 Certification

$32 - $32 an hour
