Job summary

Clear Lakes Dental in Eastlake, OH is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our growing team. This full-time role offers guaranteed base pay plus daily bonuses and opportunities to grow.

You will assist clinicians, take X-rays, sterilize operatories, apply sealants and fluoride, maintain HIPAA-compliant workflow, and contribute to a supportive, drama-free dental practice.

Qualifications

• OH Dental Assistant License and graduation from an accredited DA program.
• Completed EFDA procedures validated by Ohio Dental Board.
• CPR certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiar with dental terminology, procedures, and software.
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work under pressure.
• Bilingual in Spanish, Somali, Oromo, or Hmong is a big plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists, dental therapists, and hygienists during procedures.
• Sterilize and set up operatories between patients.
• Take and process dental x-rays.
• Document treatment plans and patient notes accurately.
• Apply sealants, fluoride, and other preventive treatments.
• Support impressions, temp crowns, and lab prep.
• Educate patients on postop care.
• Keep the workspace safe and HIPAA-compliant.
• Be an all-around awesome teammate.

Position: Licensed Dental Assistant (LDA)

Status: Full-Time | Hourly | Non-Exempt

Location: Eastlake, OH

Reports to: Dental Operations Manager (DOM)

What You'll Do

What You Bring

• OH Dental Assistant License + graduation from accredited DA program
• Complete approved EFDA procedures validated through the Ohio Dental Board, including placement of amalgam, composite restorations, stainless steel crowns, and space maintainers
• CPR certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with dental terminology, procedures, and software
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and great under pressure
• Bilingual in Spanish, Somali, Oromo, or Hmong? Big plus!

Schedule

Monday - Friday | 8:45 AM - 5:30 PM. Includes 1-hour lunch break at 1:00 PM
