Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-04 including chairside assistance, restorations, prophylaxis, radiographs, and infection control.
• Completed a full 4-year course of study in dental assistant or dental hygiene with at least 24 semester hours in radiation physics and related courses.
• Combination of Education and Experience that meets 100% of qualification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Restores teeth after preparation is accomplished.
• Provides chairside assisting and anticipates dentist's needs for instruments and materials.
• Performs intra-oral procedures such as prophylaxis, sealants, temporary restorations, and cementing crowns.
