Bright Direction Dental LLC in Clyde, OH is seeking a skilled Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our team on a full-time basis. You will work closely with dentists and staff to deliver high-quality dental care.

The ideal candidate holds EFDA certification in Ohio, assists during procedures, takes patient vitals, and ensures infection control. You will help educate patients on oral health and manage patient flow to maximize doctor time.

Qualifications

• EFDA certification in Ohio required.
• Assist dentists during diverse procedures.
• Take patient history and vitals (BP, pulse).
• Maintain infection control and sterilization protocol.
• Explain post-treatment care to patients.
• Take impressions for study models.
• Communicate with patients and suppliers.
• Support in orthodontics, pediatric, periodontics, and oral surgery.
• Perform approved restorative procedures per Dental Board.

Premier Dental is seeking a skilled and compassionateFull-TimeExpanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA)to join our team! As an EFDA, you will work closely with our dentists and other team members to provide exceptional dental care to our patients.

Schedule:

• Monday 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
• Tuesday8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Thursday 10:00 AM - 65:00 PM
• Friday 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Job Requirements:

• EFDA Certificationin the state ofOHIO
• Assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
• Asking about the patient's medical history and taking blood pressure and pulse
• Serving as an infection control officer, developing infection control protocol and preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment
• Helping patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment
• Providing patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling)
• Teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling)
• Taking impressions of patients' teeth for study casts (models of teeth)
• Communicating with patients and suppliers (e.g., scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, billing and ordering supplies)
• Helping to provide direct patient care in all dental specialties, including orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, periodontics and oral surgery
• Completes approved procedures validated through the Dental Board such as placement of amalgam, composite restorations, stainless steel crowns, space maintainers, etc.
• Follow properly issued instructions/directions regarding patient flow and manage the flow of patients to schedule/maximize the doctor’s time if applicable
