Bright Direction Dental LLC in Clyde, OH is seeking a skilled Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our team on a full-time basis. You will work closely with dentists and staff to deliver high-quality dental care.

The ideal candidate holds EFDA certification in Ohio, assists during procedures, takes patient vitals, and ensures infection control. You will help educate patients on oral health and manage patient flow to maximize doctor time.

Qualifications

• EFDA certification in Ohio required.
• Assist dentists during diverse procedures.
• Take patient history and vitals (BP, pulse).
• Maintain infection control and sterilization protocol.
• Explain post-treatment care to patients.
• Take impressions for study models.
• Communicate with patients and suppliers.
• Support in orthodontics, pediatric, periodontics, and oral surgery.
• Perform approved restorative procedures per Dental Board.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentist during a variety of treatments.
• Maintain infection control and sterilize instruments.
• Take patient medical history and vitals as needed.
• Provide patient comfort before, during, and after treatment.
• Instruct patients on post-treatment home care.
• Prepare patients and equipment for procedures.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate with team.
