Qualifications

• High School Diploma and completion of Expanded Duties/Expanded Function Dental Assisting program.
• Current Certification/Registration for Expanded Duties Dental Assisting.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification.
• Knowledge of dental office procedures and scheduling.
• Strong verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operatory and room patient prior to dentist seeing the patient.
• Assist the dentist with chairside procedures and 4-handed dentistry.
• Obtain radiographic images and load into the electronic dental record system.
• Deliver preventive education to patients.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and complete checkout.
